There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. – Nelson Mandela
Having reached the top of your career, or perhaps nearly there, you look back with a sense of fulfilment with what you have achieved and rightly so. There is a legacy and a success story that is celebrated with your family and friends.
Ever wandered about a legacy outside of that circle? Ever glanced back at a silly dream of fulfilling, that desire which you perhaps never told anyone about? If yes, then this might be something that will excite you and hopefully ignite the fires of excitement and achievement.
“We are pragmatists. We don't stick to any ideology. Does it work? Let's try it, and if it does work, fine, let's continue it. If it doesn't work, toss it out, try another one. We are not enamoured with any ideology.” – Lee Kwan Yew
‘The Forgiveness’ is a short film being developed by Tagore Almeida and his team who made the hit films such as UU DIN – the RajKumar Rao starrer that is now showing on India’s largest short film platform – Royal Stag and the festival successful film A God Of Sinners, which showcased at the Cannes Film festival in 2013. Both films were critically identified as though provoking film with acclaimed film critic Khalid Mohammed calling it a must-watch.
The Forgiveness evolves around self discovery, breaking of chains of pain and a unison with the universe but with a dark twist at the end. Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was keen on doing this in early 2020 but then due to the pandemic the project had to be put on hold. The intent is to reignite his interest else work with either another known actor or with an individual we see tremendous potential in, like we did with Rajkumar Rao in USS DIN and Shashank Arora in A God Of Sinners.
The crew will be purely experts from the industry in Bollywood, with the film being shot and completed in Mumbai – India.
